Hello everyone. Now we all know about the major religions. Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism, etc. but after doing some research I found that there are many religions out there that many people don't know exist. First before we begin I am not making any of these up. These religions exist or did exist some time in the past. You can search these groups up yourself if you don't believe me. I am only picking out the top 5 that seemed the most interesting to me. Trust me there are a lot more and I encourage others to research them yourself.

1. Jediism

That's right, this group was created by the fans of the famous series created by George Lucas himself, Star Wars. Not much movie producers out there can say that their films started a religion. The group consists of mainly nerds and nerdetts who go around in public wearing the brown robs in public. Strangely enough even tho this group was created based off the fictional universe from Star Wars they insist that they don't completely follow the path from the movies. Their religion follows the 21 maxims and 16 teachings that the Jedi from the movies follow. They were even able to get their own church I must admit I kind of find this group cool. Mainly because I am also a fan of the Star Wars series.

2. Temple of the True Inner Light

This group is still a mystery to me because I couldn't find much information on them. This group was founded in New York by a man named Alan Birnbaum in 1980. This group believes that entheogens like Marijuana, LSD, and Mescaline to be the true flesh of god. Basically its a group that worships drugs. Yes drugs has been used to by other religions before to reach some sort of transcendence but they used these as a way to try to reach god not as something to be worshipped.

3. Church of All Worlds

Church of All Worlds also know as CAW is pagan religious group who were influenced by a religious group from a fictional Sci-fi novel "Stranger in a Strange land". This group worships the greek goddess Gaia and their leader is known as Oberon Zell-Ravenheart. This religion is strange for several reasons one being is that they have no Beliefs. Another reason why this religion is strange is because they recently founded the Grey School of Wizardry based off the Harry Potter books......Yeah.

4. The Church of Ed Wood

Don't know who Ed Wood is? Well he is one of the most famous Hollywood directors of all time for his really really bad movies. Seriously Micheal Bay is better than this dude and all he does is film explosions. Ed Wood even had a movie based on his life that was directed by Tim Burton. Ed got so famous for his bad films that a group made a religion with him as their deity. To be honest I don't know if this group takes themselves seriously. Even if their official Church of Ed Wood website says they do.

5. Church of Euthanasia

Last but not least is the Church of Euthanasia which has to be the most messed up on this list. The group was started by Rev. Chris Korda who believed he met a creature named The Being who is basically an alien from another dimension....wait what? "The Being" basically told Chris that our leaders were lying to us and is causing the destruction of the earth. Because of this meeting Chris came to a stunning conclusion. That the only way to save the earth is through Human Annihilation. Don't get me wrong. They don't go around killing people. Oh no they just go around telling people to go kill themselves.......yeah. In this groups defense I do agree that our world leaders do lie to us but telling people to go kill themselves is just wrong no matter the reason.

So there you have it. These are the weirdest Religions ever....in my opinion. Like I said before there are many more obscure religions out there and I didn't cover all of the information on the religions I just listed.
